Our Runners Raise Over £40,000 at the Royal Parks Half Marathon!

We are thrilled to celebrate our incredible team of 55 runners who took on the Royal Parks Half Marathon this October, raising over £40,000 in support of The Children’s Book Project. This was our biggest ever team of runners and included 10 taking part from publisher Wonderbly, aptly named the ‘Wonderful Wonderblies’. We were also incredibly proud that some of our runners were taking part on our behalf for the third or fourth time.

Set against the beautiful autumn backdrop of London’s Royal Parks, our runners joined the 16,000 strong group taking part in one of the capital’s most iconic races. Every step they took and every pound they raised will help us gift books to children with few and often none of their own.

“We are so proud of our amazing runners,” said Kate Morgan-Evans, Grants & Engagement Manager. “Their energy, enthusiasm and generosity will have a lasting impact, helping us share the joy of reading with children across the UK.”

The funds raised will go directly towards expanding our work with schools and community organisations, ensuring that more children can experience the excitement and confidence that comes from owning and reading their own books.

A huge thank you to everyone who ran, donated and cheered us on along the route, you are all helping us turn the page on book poverty.
