One Million Books, One Goal

9th April 2026

We’re thrilled at our partnership with Brentford FC Community Sports Trust and JCDecaux’s Community Channel who have come together to celebrate and expand our book-gifting commitments across west London.

From 8th to 15th April 2026, four major billboards in the vicinity of the Gtech Community Stadium will feature a campaign inviting fans and residents to donate their outgrown children’s books to help pass on the joy of reading to others.

The week-long takeover comes at a historic moment for us, as we enter the third term of the 2026-2027 academic year, during which we plan to gift one million books to children nationwide.

Jack Cavilla, Head of Marketing and Communications at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, commented, “At the Trust our core values are Include, Innovate and Inspire. Through this partnership with the Children’s Book Project, we hope to inspire more children across west London to pick up a book and enjoy the powerful gift of reading.

Chris Dooley, Head of Sustainable Media at JCDecaux UK, added “Supporting the Children’s Book Project as it moves towards gifting one million books during the National Year of Reading is a great example of what the JCDecaux Community Channel is for. By shining a light on the Children’s Book Project and their partnership with Brentford FC Community Sports Trust around the Gtech Community Stadium, we’re proud to see our digital screens helping Brentford fans and beyond turn pre-loved books into new opportunities for children and thus supporting the Children’s Book Project reach their incredible milestone”.

Books can be dropped at one of three dedicated drop points around the stadium over the course of the week-long campaign, from where they will be retrieved and sorted at our hub in W10 before being gifted onwards.
