Corporate Support

Partnerships

During the National Year of Reading 2026, we’re even more committed to our vision of a fairer society where every child owns books and loves to read. We partner with companies who share that vision and our mission to achieve this in the most sustainable way, by using pre-loved and surplus books to ensure every child grows up surrounded by stories and proud to be a reader.

This academic year we are doubling our gifting, to 1 million books, and we want to share the impact we’re making, and the social value we are adding with companies who want to join us in sending books on new adventures with the children that need them most.

Our Corporate Partnerships start at just £4,000 which allows us to support 2 schools, delivering 4,800 books to 800 children over the course of a school year. In return, we provide social value data, qualitative and quantitative impact reporting, and can do this at a local school level and, in the case of companies who support multiple schools, at a national level. We are an exceptionally operationally efficient and lean organisation, and our partnerships are multi-faceted, flexible and impactful.

VOLUNTEERING

We welcome corporate volunteers at our three hubs nationwide and ensure that teams leave with a full understanding of our mission and a sense of accomplishment. Events run for a half or full day and will include book sorting and packing. They are social events with a high degree of hands-on involvement and we love them. PAYROLL GIVING

Payroll Giving is the most tax efficient way of supporting a charity. Your regular donation is taken from your salary before tax is deducted, making it easy and convenient for you, and regular and predictable for us.

Ask your employer whether they are registered with any of the payroll giving agencies. It’s straightforward to set up and your donation is subtracted from your pay after NI deductions but before tax, so to donate £1.00 to the Children’s Book Project:

  • As a basic rate taxpayer you donate 80p
  • As a higher rate taxpayer you donate 60p
  • As an additional rate taxpayer you donate 55p
