FANCY TAKING ON A CHALLENGE?

Taking part in an event is a fantastic, fun and social way to fundraise and raise awareness of the powerful role that book ownership plays in childhood. Every one of our runners, cyclists and swimmers makes a difference to the number of children we can reach and support.

You or your organisation can fundraise on our behalf and there are hundreds of events to choose from! We are Gift Aid registered and have a page on JustGiving to make it easy for you to set up.

Great South Run
Take on the AJ Bell Great South Run, one of the UK’s most iconic 10-mile events. Run through historic Portsmouth, with sea views, cheering crowds, and live music creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

Tough Mudder
Tough Mudder is an epic obstacle course challenge that tests your strength, stamina, and mental grit. With 5K and 15K events held across the UK throughout the year, it is the ultimate adventure for anyone ready to push their limits. Are you up for it?
Run Alton Towers
Join us at Alton Towers on for a 5K, 10K or Half Marathon inside the UK’s biggest theme park. Enjoy a chip-timed race, collect your themed medal, then enjoy free access to the rides after you finish.

Hackney Half Marathon (2026)
Run 13.1 miles through East London with street art, live music, and epic crowd support all the way. Expect high fives, handmade signs, and endless jelly babies.

Manchester Marathon (2026)
The adidas Manchester Marathon is the UK’s second largest and one of Europe’s biggest, drawing runners from around the world to Greater Manchester. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or running your first marathon, this race welcomes everyone with amazing crowd support along the route.

Brighton Marathon (2026)
The Brighton Marathon is a scenic race with sea views through a vibrant city, cheered on by fantastic crowds. The route finishes on Brighton’s beautiful seafront.

Bath Half Marathon (2026)
The GetPRO Bath Half is one of the UK’s top half marathons and the biggest charity fundraising event in south-west England. Since 2000, it has helped raise over £30 million for charity.

London Landmarks Half Marathon
Central London's landmark-laden half marathon will be returning for 2026.
Join over 20,000 runners at the start on Pall Mall and race past fabulous views of London’s most iconic landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Tower of London and the London Eye before finishing by Downing Street.

The Royal Parks Half Marathon
The Royal Parks Half Marathon is one of the most spectacular events in the running calendar, as well as being the greenest race of its kind in the UK. Running on closed roads through four of the Royal Parks, you’ll take in iconic sights including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and the Royal Albert Hall. Join the festival atmosphere on this mostly flat 13.1-mile run.

Manchester Half Marathon
Join over 24,000 runners taking on this 13.1 mile challenge in Manchester, starting and finishing in Old Trafford.

Oxford Half Marathon
The fast and flat Oxford Half is perfect for both beginners and PB chasers. The route will take runners through the pristine and winding streets of historic Oxford.

Cycle to Paris, Amsterdam or the epic Ford Ride London 100 mile route and take part in some of the world’s greatest cycling experiences. With heaps of support along the way and hundreds of co-riders, these events are unbeatable. Various dates.
Inflatable Events
Get ready to bounce your way through The World's BIGGEST and most EPIC Inflatable 5K Obstacle Courses! Jumping, sliding, and bouncing your way to the finish line like never before.
Cardiff Half
On this flat and fast course you will pass all of the city’s most breathtaking scenery and iconic landmarks including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, Civic Centre and stunning Cardiff Bay. Event date: 5th October 2025
Saucony London 10K
Enjoy an incredible closed-road route through central London, past some of the city's most famous landmarks, including Big Ben and the London Eye. Flat and friendly event, perfect for beginners or seasoned pros chasing a new PB! Event date: 13th July 2025
