We are so proud to be a charity partner for the launch of Gruffalo Granny by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, and published by Macmillan Children’s Books.
To widen access to books and reading and help every child to be part of this global celebration, Macmillan Children’s Books has selected six major literacy charities across the UK to ensure the joy of reading with the Gruffalo reaches communities nationwide that might not otherwise have the chance.
We’re tremendously grateful to be part of this initiative supported by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, which will see 140,000 Gruffalo books suitable for children of all ages gifted to families in disadvantaged areas and delivered alongside interactive sessions. Over 7,000 titles will be gifted via our ‘Share a Story’ programme via Christmas family days at 32 prisons nationwide and via multi-banks, and we even hope that the Gruffalo may pay a visit to one of these events!
