Episode six: Suli Breaks
Suli Breaks, London-based poet, storyteller, and creative writer known for his impactful work in education, entrepreneurship, relationships and creative storytelling, aims to inspire and challenge viewers to think differently about the world around them.
With a career that gained wide appeal after his viral video "Why I Hate School but Love Education" garnered 10 million views in 2012, he’s become a sought-after speaker, performer, and writer. His greatest aspiration however, is to inspire a generation of young people to aspire towards greater heights, regardless of their personal circumstance.
Together with our host (BAFTA-nominated comedian, actor, author Rachel Parris), Suli reveals (at least) three children's books that have helped make him who he is today. Delivering not quite the soundtrack of their lives, but the literary yarns that knit it together.
THREE BOOKS, THREE STORIES
Suli selects three titles that reveal a personal story:
- Childhood Favourite - the book that shaped who they are today
- Shared Book - a book read with someone special
- Gift to the Future - a title they wish to donate to inspire another child
